Request Information

Public bodies in Alberta must comply with both the Access to Information Act (ATIA) and the Protective of Privacy Act (POPA)  and retrospective Regulations. The Protective of Privacy Act (POPA)  focuses on the protection of personal information collected, used, and disclosed by public bodies, while the Access to Information Act (ATIA) governs access to records held by public bodies in Alberta.

Anyone has the right to request information that is under the care and control of Athabasca County, including their personal information. You may wish to request personal information to verify its accuracy or for other purposes. To discuss a request for information, or update your personal information, please don’t hesitate to contact the County’s ATI Coordinator at records@athabascacounty.com.

You can submit an Access to Information request, or request to have your personal information corrected, using the forms below. Though the forms can be filled out digitally, you will need to print and sign them before submission.
