Campgrounds & Day Use Sites

Athabasca County operates and maintains campgrounds, day use sites, boat launches, and municipal reserves for residents and visitors to enjoy throughout the year. Come and enjoy what nature has to offer! Our region is a very popular place to visit for those who love the outdoors.

We are happy to announce that all campgrounds owned and operated by Athabasca County can now be booked in advance by using our new Online Campground Reservation System.

This change was made to help provide those wishing to plan their next camping trip the ability to plan ahead and reserve a site. Bookings open on March 1, 2023.

Please note: A non-refundable booking fee of $7 per reservation will be charged at the time of booking. Cancellations will be allowed up to 3 working days before the date of camping. Campers will be required to call the County Admin Office during regular business hours to request a cancellation or email Please do not call the After-Hours Emergency number, as this number is intended only for water, sewer and road concerns.

Beginning in 2021, all Athabasca County campsites must be booked using the online booking system.

Please note:  Bookings for the 2022 camping season are open.
