Athabasca County is seeking sealed quotes for the following work:
The work shall consist of mowing grass along the ditches of Athabasca County’s non paved roads, as well as certain County facilities such as the Athabasca County Airport. The mowing of the ditches helps the County with its obligations to the Weed Control Act as well as reduce future maintenance cost by controlling suckering trees etc. The maximum diameter of trees required to be cut will be one inch (1 “) in diameter measured four inches (4”) above ground level. The highlighted areas on the map are the areas that are required to be mowed. It will consist of about 496 km of roadway.
Quotes may be mailed or hand delivered to the Athabasca County Administration Office (faxes will not be accepted). The sealed quotes are to be marked “Roadside Mowing 2024”. The sealed quotes will be accepted until 1 :00 p.m. MST, Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the following address:
