There are three public open houses being planned for Athabasca County during the month of April 2015. These meetings will be informal and will be attended by Athabasca County Planning and Development Staff, as well as Pario Plan, an Edmonton-based land use planning consultant firm, who are helping the County review the current Municipal Development Plan and update the municipality’s Land Use Bylaw.
The sessions are intended to be an opportunity for everyone to learn about the work taking place and share your ideas for what you would like the County to be like into the future. Our consultant ParioPlan will be using a variety of methods to gather your thoughts on land use such as interactive displays, charts and maps to show you about things such as settlement patterns, agriculture, development trends and more. Keep in mind, the Municipal Development Plan integrates itself with many aspects of life in our County so don’t be afraid to ask questions.
The open houses/workshops are planned from 4 pm to 8 pm at the following places and dates:
- Wandering River – Ag. Society Building – April 21
- Boyle – Boyle Community Centre – April 22
- Athabasca – Regional Multiplex – April 30
*ParioPlan will conduct two presentations at each meeting. The first will take place from 5 to 5:30 pm and the second from 7 to 7:30 pm
