Public Hearing for Bylaw 003-2023

In accordance with the requirements of Section 409 Division 7.1 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M26, RSA 2000, as amended, the Council of Athabasca County has scheduled a Public Hearing for July 27, 2023, commencing at 9:30 a.m.

THE PUBLIC HEARING IS BEING HELD TO ALLOW PUBLIC INPUT ON THE FOLLOWING PROPOSED BYLAW:

Bylaw 003-2023 – Being a Bylaw to implement a Community Aggregate Payment Levy to impose a levy in respect of all sand and gravel businesses operating in the municipality.  The imposition of this levy is to raise revenue to be used toward energy efficiency upgrades for county and community infrastructure as outlined in the Green Municipal Initiatives Program Policy.

Anyone wishing to address Council on these matters may provide a written statement by 12 noon, July 26, 2023, by forwarding it to:
