First Reading for By-law 006-2017 proposing a road closure in the Rochester region was held and passed in the Council Chambers of the County Office on Thursday, April 27, 2017. The by-law is now being advertised to give residents of the County an opportunity to express any concerns before second and third reading take place.
A BY-LAW OF ATHABASCA COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING TO PUBLIC TRAVEL AND CREATING TITLE TO PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, CHAPTER M26 REVISED STATUTES OF ALBERTA 2000, AS AMENDED.
The following described road, subject to right of access granted by other legislation:
ALL THAT PORTION of the Statutory Road Allowance adjoining the West Boundary of the NW ¼ 36-62-24-4 which lies South of the curvilinear production across said Road Allowance of the Southwesterly limit of Road Plan 922 1969 and North of a line drawn perpendicularly across the Statutory Road Allowance on the South boundary of NW ¼ 36-62-24-4 containing 0.17 hectares (0.43 acres) more or less.
A copy of the amended By-Law 006-2017 may be obtained by interested parties at the County Office during regular working hours.
