Postal Service Disruption Notice

With a national postal strike underway, we want to minimize the impact on our ratepayers.

What Athabasca County residents and customers need to know:

During a mailing disruption, Athabasca County cannot mail customers utility bills, notices, or account information. Outgoing mail will be held at the Athabasca County Administration Office during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Taxes/Utilities/Accounts Receivable

Payments are still due on the specified date, and late penalties may apply.

Anyone who is uncertain about an outstanding account is encouraged to contact Athabasca County’s Accounts Receivable Department at (780) 675-2273.

Payments can be completed the following ways during the postal strike:

  • In Person at Athabasca County Administration Building located at 3602 – 48 Ave, Athabasca, AB
  • Drop Box – located at the entrance to the Athabasca County Administration Building
  • Bank – most financial institutions with a copy of your Tax Notice or Reminder Notice

Online/Telephone Banking – offered by most Financial Institutions by adding payee –

 

       ATHABASCA COUNTY – TAXES – Account # (use Roll#)

       ATHABASCA COUNTY – UTILITIES – Account#

        ATHABASCA COUNTY – A/R – Account# (use Cust ID#)
