The playground located at the Colinton Community Center will be closed until further notice.
The County is currently securing the area around the playground and will be installing temporary fencing around the playground structures. The closure is due to safety concerns regarding some of the playground equipment that were brought to the County’s attention after a safety inspection was completed of the playground.
The playground that is located across from the Colinton Hotel remains open for the community’s use.
Athabasca County is currently completing safety inspections of several playgrounds around the County to ensure that the equipment remains safe to use.
