In accordance with the requirements of Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, as amended, the Council of Athabasca County has scheduled concurrent Public Hearings for February 11, 2020, starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the County Administration Office (3602 – 48th Avenue, Athabasca).
The Public Hearings are being held to allow the public input on the following Bylaws:
Bylaw 002-2020
Proposed Bylaw No. 002-2020 amends Land Use Bylaw No. 004-2019 to include “Child Care Facilities” as a discretionary use in the Highway Business (C3) Land Use District.
Bylaw 003-2020
Proposed Bylaw No. 003-2020 amends Land Use Bylaw No. 004-2019 to include “Natural Resource Extraction and Processing” as a discretionary use in the Spruce Valley Transitional Industrial (M4) Land Use District.
Bylaw 004-2020
Proposed Bylaw No. 004-2020 amends Land Use Bylaw No. 004-2019 as follows:
The Land Use District Map is hereby amended by changing Plan 0524388; Block 1; Lot 1 as indicated on Schedule “A” (right), from Country Residential (CR1) District to Recreational Commercial (C4) District.
Bylaw 005-2020
Proposed Bylaw No. 005-2020 amends Land Use Bylaw No. 004-2019 to include “Natural Resource Extraction and Processing” as a discretionary use in the Spruce Valley Heavy Industrial (M3) Land Use District.
Copies of draft bylaw 002-2020, 003-2020, 004-2020 and 005-2020 may be obtained at the County Office during normal working hours.
Anyone wishing to address Council on these matters may provide a written statement by 12 noon, February 10, 2020, or attend the public hearing to make a presentation.
