Please note that as part of routine maintenance, TC Energy will be performing a blowdown periodically from September 24th-25th west of Baptiste Lake and South on TWP Road 664. A blowdown is the act of safely releasing natural gas from a pipeline system in a controlled manner so work can be done safely on depressurized facilities. A loud roaring sound may occur when the natural gas is released, although tools will be employed by TC Energy to minimize this noise whenever possible. The estimated duration of each blowdown is 20 minutes each from 8am-4pm from September 24th-25th.
Residents living in close proximity to the planned blowdown location will receive notification of the blowdown prior to the work beginning.
