Please note that as part of routine maintenance, TC Energy will be performing a blowdown periodically from May 9-16, 2024, at North of Skeleton Lake by Highway 63 and Range Road 654.
A blowdown is the act of safely releasing natural gas from a pipeline system in a controlled manner so work can be done safely on depressurized facilities. A loud roaring sound may occur when the natural gas is released, although tools will be employed by TC Energy to minimize this noise whenever possible.
The blowdown will occur periodically from 6 am-12 pm & 3 pm-11 pm.
Residents living in close proximity of the planned blowdown location will receive notification of the blowdown prior to the work beginning.
