For the safety of pilots and passengers, the Athabasca Regional Airport will need to be closed to air traffic for a period of 3 days to allow for the initial construction phase of a new Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) light system.
This work is tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 16 through Wednesday, June 18 weather pending. Notices have been placed at the airport and all regular users of the airport contacted to make them aware of this work.
