Local Community Groups & Non-Profit Organizational Cemetery Groups are invited to apply for a $2,000 grant to improve their cemetery and individual grave sites within their cemeteries.
The grant is available for materials and supplies for up to a maximum of $2,000 once every 5 years for fencing, landscaping, leveling grave depressions, erecting commemorative plaques, signs, markers, recording data on head stones and providing information concerning unmarked grave sites.
Grants may be applied for by completing an application available by clicking on the link below to view Policy #3685 or by obtaining the application at Athabasca County Administration Office.
Due to a limited budget, grants will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis until such time that the budget has been exceeded. Payments shall be made upon completion of work and submission of invoices.
