In order to issue a Letter of Compliance Athabasca County requires two original copies of a current Alberta Real Property Report to ensure that the improvements comply with the setbacks and permitted uses of the County’s Land Use Bylaw.
Electronic Real Property Reports may be accepted when emailed directly from the surveyor and can be obtained from any Alberta Land Surveyor.
The County also checks Land Files for any development permits that may have been issued on your property and compare them to the Real Property Report. If it is found that required permits were not obtained, they will be required prior to the issuance of the Letter of Compliance.
The cost of a Letter of Compliance is shown in the Development Fee Schedule.
