- The Jackfish/Camping Lake fire has been classified as under control as of June 1st The rain received over the last few days significantly helped with firefighting efforts.
- The prepare to evacuate notice has been lifted with the change in status.
- Hot spots within the burn area continue and equipment is being maintained along the fire guard to utilize if there are any flareups.
- Provincial crews have officially turned over the wildfire to the County on June 1st
- The Jackfish Lake Campground will reopen on Friday June 2nd.
Please note that although the fire is classified as under control, we are asking the public to avoid the area as our crews and equipment need space to work effectively and safely.
