Athabasca County is seeking residents of Athabasca County to serve as “Members at Large” on the Following Committees:
Subdivision & Development Appeal Board (Two) Members – 3 Year Term
- Two County residents to serve as Members at Large on the Subdivision & Development Appeal Board for a 3 year term ending December 31, 2018. The purpose of the Board is to hear and decide upon appeals with respect to subdivision and development matters within Athabasca County.
- The Board meets as required and would usually have 3 – 4 daytime meetings per year, with several days’ notice being given.
Family & Community Support Services (One) Member – 3 Year Term
- One County resident to serve as a Member at Large on the Family & Community Support Services Board for a 3 year term ending December 31, 2018.
- The Board meets during the day on a regular monthly basis. Applicants must be willing to support the FCSS Mission ‘to improve individual, family & community well-being by providing or supporting preventative programs & services’.
Athabasca Airport Committee (One) Member – 2 Year Term
- One County resident to serve as a Member at Large on the Athabasca Airport Commission for a 3 year term, ending December 31, 2017.
- The Commission meets as required, and would usually have 3-6 morning meetings per year, with several days’ notice given. Aviation knowledge would be a definite asset.
Tourism/Economic Development Committee (One) Member – 3 Year Term
- One County resident to serve as a Member at Large on the Tourism/Economic Development Committee for a 3 year term ending December 31, 2018.
- The Committee meets as required for a morning meeting with several days’ notice given. Economic Development and Tourism knowledge would be a definite asset.
Members of the above mentioned Boards will be eligible for a meeting honoraria and travel expenses, as set by County Policy.
