Child Safety Seat Clinic

Athabasca County is offering individual Child Safety Seat Information Sessions to County residents beginning in April 2021.

 

Athabasca County Peace Officer Kevin Rowan is a certified inspector and he will scheduling the clinics on an individual basis. These 1 on 1 sessions will be an opportunity to ask the Peace Officer questions relating to seat safety, receive most up to date recommendations, and have a registered technician support you in installing your seats correctly.

 

Where do they take place?

They will take place at agreed upon Fire Hall locations in Athabasca County, generally the fire hall located closest to the person wanting to meet for a session.

The sessions will start in April and will continue but only on a 1 on 1 basis at agreed upon dates. Please fill out the form below to express your interest in scheduling a session. You will be contacted to discuss a time and date.

Social Distancing and Public Safety

All child safety inspections will be conducted in a manner that provides for social distancing and public safety during the pandemic.

Masks are required by all who attend.

Athabasca County's Peace Officer is offering child safety seat inspections to help increase safety for infants and children while travelling in a vehicle. Please bring your vehicle owner's manual to the Child Safety Seat Clinic to help identify child safety seat features in it. Review it if you can before arriving.
