Athabasca County’s employees are its greatest resource and we hire qualified individuals to help us meet the service expectations of our residents, those who visit our region and businesses.

When positions become available they are advertised on this website, locally in the newspaper, and in some cases nationally to attract the best possible candidate for the position.

Full-time employees are offered an attractive benefits package which includes participation in the Local Authorities Pension Plan. All employees are provided with safety training to help them complete needed work in a safe work environment.

Seasonal Workers

Each spring seasonal workers are hired to help with the many outdoor maintenance tasks that come with the season. These opportunities are offered to both post-secondary education students and non-students who are interested in a seasonal employment. Applications for these jobs usually become available in March and will be posted on Job Opportunity link below.
