Athabasca County’s employees are its greatest resource and we hire qualified individuals to help us meet the service expectations of our residents, those who visit our region and businesses.
Athabasca County aspires to be the region’s employer of choice, attracting talented and skilled staff. If you’re seeking a workplace that offers the following, we invite you to join our team:
Located in the heart of Alberta, our region is known for its beautiful scenery and many outdoor activities. The surrounding forests and the Athabasca River offer a great setting for hiking, fishing, boating, camping, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
Highways 2, 55, 63, and 813 link Athabasca County with Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Slave Lake, and the Wabasca-Demarais area. The County is home to just over 11,000 people, including those in the historic Town of Athabasca, the Village of Boyle, eight summer villages, and 11 nearby hamlets.
Residents enjoy a strong sense of community, excellent schools, and a variety of local events and festivals celebrating the region’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant rural lifestyle.
Each spring seasonal workers are hired to help with the many outdoor maintenance tasks that come with the season.
