NEW ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM
We are happy to announce that all campgrounds owned and operated by Athabasca County can now be booked in advance by using our new Online Campground Reservation System.
This change was made to provide all those wishing to plan their next camping trip the ability to plan ahead and reserve a site. Bookings open on March 1, 2023.
Please note: A non-refundable booking fee of $7 per reservation will be charged at the time of booking.
Alberta Health Guidelines
Additional public health measures are in place for all users of Baptiste Lake Campground.
- All users will be required to follow social distancing guidelines for outdoor spaces.
- Additional cleaning measures will be undertaken by the County according to provincial health guidelines.

Fees
- Day use- $10 per vehicle
- Boat Launch – $5 per launch
- Overnight- $15 per night
Online Campsite Bookings
To ensure availability, all bookings must be made using the Online Camping Reservation System prior to arrival.
Overnight Camping Fee – $15 per night per unit (paid at time of booking).
Please Note: A $7 online booking fee is charged per booking. This fee is non-refundable when requesting a cancellation.
General Booking Information & Camping Fees
a. Cancellations will be allowed up to 3 working days before the date of camping. Campers will be required to call the County Admin Office to request a cancellation.
b. Check-in time: 4 pm; Check-out time: 2 pm
c. The maximum occupancy period is fourteen (14) consecutive days in each campground; campers must leave the campground for no less than seventy-two (72) hours in order to return.
d. A maximum of six (6) adults and their dependent children may occupy a campsite.
e. Each campsite is allowed two (2) vehicles. Each additional vehicle will be charged a $5 per day fee and shall park in designated public parking lots.
f. No accessory structures or site alterations are permitted on any campsite.
Directions From Athabasca
West 17 km on Hwy 2 straight through (becomes Hwy 812) continue west entering Summer Village of South Baptiste (becomes Twp Rd 664).
Watch for campground signage as you wind around lake heading north.
