- Fire crews continued to hold the fire overnight and the situation remained consistent from yesterday. The fire began to slow overnight.
- There are many resources currently on scene that have been supplied by Alberta Forestry.
- The west fire guard continues to hold, and crews are working on the east guard.
- Homes in the area have had sprinklers running on them.
- Additional dozer crews arrived during the night and immediately began work.
- Non-fire related traffic continues to be a problem in the area. Please avoid the area. Crews require the roads and space to ensure they can work effectively and safely.
- The evacuation notice for everyone on Range Road 214 & 215, north of Township Road 674, and the prepare to evacuate notice for everyone else in the area between Jackfish Lake and the Athabasca River to the west remains in effect.
- A fire flared up last night in the Wandering River area, but was extinguished within a few hours.
