Athabasca County has been informed CN Rail will be completing the removal and replacement of rail and track ties on the railway crossing Hwy 55 on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Closure of that area of the highway is expected for the duration of the day. During the project, there will be no access to thru traffic.
Detour of traffic will be along the Al-Pac Connector (Range Road 195.5) and the Grassland Connector (Township Road 674). Motorists are advised to follow the marked detour signage and to drive courteously when driving near work zones. CN Rail’s Track Supervisor on the project is Nel Tambasco.
