Athabasca County will be conducting bridge maintenance work on Twp Rd 665.5 East of Highway 2 (just south of the Hutterian Brethren of Athabasca).
A contractor will be completing a wing wall repair and bank stabilization on the South East portion of the bridge.
Work will begin on Tuesday, June 16th, and is expected to be completed by end of day Friday, June 19.
Please Note: Local traffic will have access Tuesday to Thursday, however the road will be closed for half of the day on Friday when a crane is mobilized to install pilings.
What to Expect
- Vehicles will have access to cross the bridge, however it may be reduced to one lane.
- There may be short delays experienced by drivers.
- Please follow all signage placed in the vicinity of the project, the directions of flag people, and use alternative routes if possible.
