The Colinton Street and Sidewalk Renewal Project is currently underway and will see a lot of activity in the community while needed work takes place.
The project will begin with resurfacing of the streets. This will see the milling of the old pavement followed by base repair and new asphalt being laid. The County is also conducting base work and paving road access to the Fire Hall. This will improve access for trucks and personnel responding to emergencies.
The replacement of sidewalks is slated to take place 2-3 weeks from the start of the project. Workers will be laying concrete forms and concrete trucks will be moving throughout the community as this work proceeds.
Please take note of any directional signage placed in the community and follow the direction of flag people while this paving and sidewalk work takes place. If you reside in Colinton, please remove any vehicles from the street when work is taking place on the street in front of your home or business.
Please stay a safe distance from workers and equipment while this work takes place. Depending on weather conditions, an estimated completion date for all this work is mid-July.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you in advance for your patience.
If you have any questions about the work taking place please contact the Athabasca County Infrastructure Services Department by calling 780-675-2273 or emailing info@athabascacounty.com.
