Economic Development Incentive Program
A policy launched by the County in 2012 created the Economic Development Incentive Program. The program aims to encourage development in Athabasca County by offering a 50% rebate on the municipal portion of your tax bill.
The development, which can be new building or upgrades to existing structures, must have an assessed value of over $100,000. The rebate applies to the first full year for development, and all taxes must be paid in full before applying to the program.
