Open Houses – LUB & MDP
Athabasca County is working towards updating the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) and Municipal Development Plan (MDP) to more closely meet the needs of development today. Part of the process for developing new bylaws is giving members of the public an opportunity to provide input prior to first reading.
The open houses took place on the dates and places below and were an opportunity to ask questions and hear a presentation about the contents of the proposed Land Use Bylaw and Municipal Development Plan.
With the meetings now concluded, and a survey gathering input from residents now closed, we thank everyone for taking the time to share their thoughts with us. We are now compiling all the information provided for Council’s review.

Review Draft Bylaws
Draft versions of the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB) were made available in advance of the meetings in order to give members of the public time to review them. Please click on either of the links below to be redirected to the documents.

Public Open House Questionnaire
We wanted to know how we did, and what everyone thought about the draft Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB). An online survey was made available that mirrored a survey provided to those attending the Open Houses. The survey has now closed and we thank everyone who took the time to fill one out. Information gathered is now being added to the overall input gathered as part of the consultation process and will be considered by Council before first reading of the Bylaws is made.
