Seasonal Camping

Thank you for considering Hope Lake or Forfar Lake Recreation Park for your seasonal camping experience.

Applications will be accepted beginning January 2, 2024, for Seasonal Campsites at Forfar Recreation Park and Hope Lake Campgrounds. The deadline for all applications is January 31, 2024.

In accordance with Athabasca County Policy 7630, should the requests for seasonal sites not exceed the number of available sites, sites will be allocated on a first come first serve basis (by date of application). If there are more applications than sites available, a draw will take place to determine how the sites are allocated. Applicants will be notified by letter of the outcome.

The camping season runs from approximately mid-May to mid-September, weather dependent. The Seasonal rate is $1,800 per site for residents and $2,200 for non-residents. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee for every application. No refunds will be granted if the length of the season changes due to weather or any other circumstances.
