Edit: As of 12:51 p.m. on August 15, 2025, the repairs have been completed. There will no longer be one hour stoppages in both directions of the bridge at night.
Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors has advised there will be construction of the Athabasca River Bridge in the Town of Athabasca (Highway 813) on the nights of August 14 – 16, 2025, between 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During this time, traffic may be stopped in both directions of the bridge for up to one hour.
Exceptions will be made to allow emergency vehicles to cross if required, and signage will also be in place.
