All of Athabasca County’s snow clearing equipment is out on the roads clearing the recent snowfall and ongoing blowing snow. As per Policy 3201, Municipal Roads are priority for snowplowing, and private lanes / driveways for those who have applied for the Residential Snowplowing Program will be managed as per administrative capacity and based on snow accumulation with each snowfall event.
While our crews work diligently to clear public roads as quickly as possible, we are unable to prioritize private driveway clearing based on individual phone-in requests. Thank you for your patience as our teams work to make the roads safer for everyone.
