Effective January 19, 2026, at 2 p.m., axel weight restrictions have been lifted for certain municipal roads within Athabasca County. This includes:
• Range Road 172 – Plamondon Connector (gravel), and
• Township Road 690.1 – Alpac K-Road South (gravel).
• Range Road 173.3 – Caslan North Road (oiled)
• Range Road 174 – Atmore South (gravel)
• Range Road 174.6 – Golden Noddings Road
• Range Road 225.5 – Westwind Trailer Park Road (oiled)
• Township Road 712 – Breynat Hamlet Access
• All paved, fibremat, and oiled subdivisions, and
• All paved, fibremat, and oiled streets in the hamlets of Atmore, Breynat, Caslan, Colinton, Grassland, Perryvale, Rochester, and Wandering River.
• Township Road 672 – Grosmont Road (paved)
• Township Road 665 – Pine Grove Road (paved)
• Township Road 660 – South Athabasca Road / Aspen Ridge Road (paved)
• Township Road 654 – Century Road (paved)
• Township Road 654 – Skeleton Narrows Road (paved), and
• Township Road 670 – Whispering Hills Road (paved).
