In accordance with the requirements of Sections 606 and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, as amended, the Council of Athabasca County has scheduled Public Hearings for June 11, 2026.
THE PUBLIC HEARINGS ARE BEING HELD TO ALLOW PUBLIC INPUT ON THE FOLLOWING BYLAWS:
Bylaw 017-2026 for the purpose of repealing the Baptiste Lake Area Structure Plan and Amendments.
The public hearing for Bylaw 017-2026 will commence at 9:30 a.m.
Bylaw 019-2026 for the purpose of repealing the Island Lake Area Structure Plan and Amendments.
The public hearing for Bylaw 019-2026 will commence at 10:00 a.m. OR as soon as practical thereafter the Public Hearing for Bylaw 017-2026.
Presentations may be in-person, virtually or by written submission. Each presenter will be given up to 5 minutes to present to County Council.
Written submissions and requests for virtual attendance must be filed by 12:00 noon, June 10, 2026, by contacting Planning & Development at:

- Persons attending a public hearing virtually must pre-register. Only individuals who have pre-registered to attend virtually will be provided with the information to access the hearing electronically.
- Persons attending a public hearing in-person at the County Administration Office are not required to pre-register but will be asked to sign-in at the hearing.
