Public Hearing: Bylaw 003-2026

In accordance with the requirements of Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, as amended, the Council of Athabasca County has scheduled a Public Hearing for February 12, 2026 starting at 9:30 a.m.

THE PUBLIC HEARING IS BEING HELD TO ALLOW PUBLIC INPUT ON THE FOLLOWING BYLAW:

Bylaw 003-2026 – The proposed bylaw amends Land Use Bylaw 004-2019 as follows:

The Land Use District Map is hereby amended by changing Lot 1, Block 1, Plan 1020781, as indicated on Schedule “A” attached hereto, from Light Industrial (M1) District to Heavy Industrial (M2) District.

There will be two (2) public hearings held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, for two (2) bylaws. The public hearing will commence at 9:30 a.m., or as soon as practical thereafter, and will occur in the sequential order of 003-2026 and 004-2026. Therefore, those wishing to participate should be in attendance at 9:30 a.m.

Any person attending a public hearing by electronic means must register by the specified deadline and comply with the procedures outlined in the notice of public hearing for filing submissions.
