Planning and Development

The Planning & Development Department’s role includes assisting the public with the processing of applications for development, subdivision and redistricting, providing certificates of compliance, creating and updating planning documents, preparing reports to council and boards, as well as other land use and planning related matters. We strongly recommend scheduling a pre-application appointment to meet with one of our Development Officers to discuss your project.

Who can I contact about scheduling an inspection? Athabasca County contacts its inspections services to Inspections Group. To request an inspection from The Inspections Group, fill out the Online Inspection Request Form, which can be emailed directly or printed.
