A Canada Post strike or service disruption may begin as early as May 23, 2025. This will impact mail service to and from Athabasca County. We want to minimize the impact on our residents if a strike or service disruption takes place.
What Athabasca County residents and customers need to know:
During a mailing disruption, Athabasca County cannot mail customers utility bills, notices, or account information. Outgoing mail will be held at the Athabasca County Administration Office during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Payments are still due on the specified date, and late penalties may apply.
Anyone who is uncertain about an outstanding account is encouraged to contact Athabasca County at (780) 675-2273.
Payments can be made the following ways during the postal strike:
•𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 at Athabasca County Administration Building located at 3602 – 48 Ave, Athabasca, AB
•𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗕𝗼𝘅 – located at the entrance to the Athabasca County Administration Building
•𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 – most financial institutions with a copy of your Tax Notice or Reminder Notice
•𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲/𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 – offered by most Financial Institutions by adding payee –
