Village of Boyle residents are now permitted to return home.
Athabasca County Residents on Township Road 642 and Range Road 195 are permitted to return home.
Athabasca County Residents on Highway 831 south of Boyle are still under an evacuation order and not permitted to return at this time. The residences still under order are listed below. The County is working on contacting the homeowners directly for the next steps. A map of the area that remains evacuated has been included.
Lodging services in Lac La Biche will cease immediately. Evacuees who choose to remain will need to use their own resources.
For those who require transportation, buses will be in Lac La Biche, departing at 1:00 p.m to the Village of Boyle. from Parkland Motel II.
Reentry Procedure:
We encourage residents to ensure they have basic goods and items they need before they return, as some businesses and services may not yet be open.
Further, power was interrupted to some homes for a period of around 24 hours, so please ensure you check on electrical appliances like fridges and freezers for spoiled goods.

Fire Update:
Fire crews have the majority of the fire line contained and classify the fire as being held. They continue to work within the burnt area actioning hot spots to ensure the fire doesn’t restart or grow. Be aware that fire and emergency crews will be continuing activities in the area. Highway 831 South of Boyle remains closed.
The evacuation order remains in the restricted area.
