Haley’s Point Area Structure Plan

Members of the public are invited to participate in a public open house for a proposed Area Structure Plan for a development called Haley’s Point.

It is the intent of the Owners/Developers to further subdivide the described lands to be utilized for Country Residential purposes. Within the process of subdivision an Area Structure Plan must be prepared and formally adopted by County Council.

An Area Structure Plan is a Statutory Plan authorized by Section 633 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA), Statues of Alberta, 1994, Chapter M-26.1, for the purpose of providing a framework for the future subdivision and development of lands within a municipality.

Site Land Description – E-1/2 – 6 & SE – 7-66-22-W4

The MGA requires that all statutory planning documents be consistent with each other and that an ASP must describe:

• sequencing of development
• proposed land uses, either generally or specifically
• population density
• the general location of major transportation and public utilities
• any other planning matters that Council may consider necessary

Members of the public are invited to attend a virtual OPEN HOUSE to review and discuss the proposed development.
