With the current stormy and reduced visibility conditions, this is a reminder to ensure your headlights are manually turned on when driving.
Many vehicles set to “Auto” will activate the front daytime running lights but do not engage the rear tail lights, making the vehicle difficult to see from behind in snow, fog, or heavy rain.
Please take a moment to:
• Switch headlights to the full “On” position,
• Ensure headlights and tail lights are free of snow, ice and debris,
• Confirm your rear tail lights are illuminated, and
• Reduce speed and increase following distance.
Visibility can change quickly in these conditions. Lets all do our part to stay safe on the roads.
