Regional Firesmart Coordinator

Full Time, Term – April 2026 to December 2027

Reporting to the Manager of Protective Services, the Regional FireSmart Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating FireSmart initiatives within the partner communities (Athabasca County, Town of Athabasca, and Village of Boyle) to reduce wildfire risk and promote wildfire resiliency. This position works collaboratively with local governments, community groups, fire departments, landowners, and various stakeholders to build awareness, support education, and deliver community-based wildfire mitigation projects in alignment with FireSmart Canada’s principles and guidelines and Alberta Community Wildfire Risk Management Cycle.
