Covid-19 Business Support & Recovery Outreach Initiative

The following information and list of resources has been assembled for Athabasca businesses that require assistance in managing the hardships and challenges caused by the COVID 19 pandemic.

Support Programs

*NEW*  Small Medium Size Enterprise Relaunch Grant (SMERG)

To support business at this time modifications to the Small Medium Size Enterprise Relaunch Grant (SMERG) has been introduced. Starting the week of December 14, job creators who have experienced a 30% revenue loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic will qualify for the program, lowering the threshold from the existing 40% revenue loss requirement. This 30% threshold will be available to impacted businesses retroactive to March, 2020.
