Election Workers

Applications are currently being accepted for Election Workers for the 2025 Municipal Election, to be held Monday, October 20, 2025.

All workers must be eligible to work in Canada, be 18 years of age, are required to attend a training session, and will be expected to work at a specific polling station within the County from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Election Day. The rate of pay for these contract positions will be $300 per day for the election and $150 for training.

Election workers help with voting and vote counting under the direction of the Returning Officer (RO) and Appointed Deputy(s). Election worker duties may include:

• Assist voters with the voting process
• Providing information to the public
• Counting ballots
• Taking down the voting station
• Other duties as assigned
