Accounts Receivable/Utilities Clerk

Term: full-time

Athabasca County is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Accounts Receivable /Utilities Clerk to join our Corporate Services team.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this key role will provide accounting and clerical support, manage utility billing, maintain accurate records, and offer friendly and knowledgeable service to residents and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process monthly utility billings and other departmental invoicing.
  • Set up new utility accounts and assist the public with inquiries regarding deposits, billings, and payments.
  • Prepare daily deposits, cash sheets, and post to the general ledger.
  • Support front counter reception by processing payments, handling inquiries, and providing administrative assistance.
